The permanent Vice Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Hoang Gia Long, received a courtesy visit from the Ambassador of Azerbaijan.

During the reception, H.E. Shovgi Mehdizada, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan in Vietnam, and H.E. Kanat K. Tumysh, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in Vietnam, emphasized the strong diplomatic relations established over many years between Vietnam, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. H.E. Shovgi Mehdizada mentioned that 2024 will mark the 65th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Azerbaijan. This year, the Embassy will organize numerous activities commemorating this historical event and prioritize cooperation between Ha Giang province and various regions of Azerbaijan.

H.E. Shovgi Mehdizada affirmed the commitment to continue supporting the students of Phien Sui School in Giap Trung commune, Bac Me district. He expressed a desire to implement future economic development projects in the province, focusing on sectors such as tourism, agriculture, culinary, and the development of young human resources.

On behalf leaders of Ha Giang province, Vice Chairman - Hoang Gia Long expressed joy and warmth in welcoming the delegation from the Embassy for their visit and work in Ha Giang province. Vice Chairman hopes that after this visit, Ha Giang will leave a lasting impression and beautiful memories for the Ambassador, laying the foundation for future cooperation between Ha Giang province and the Azerbaijan Embassy. In the context of the positive socio-economic development of the province in recent years, Ha Giang has consistently paid attention to and emphasized the expansion and deepening of collaborative relationships with embassies and international partners. This approach reflects the province's hospitality and sincere collaboration with both longstanding and new partners in Ha Giang.

Responding to the proposals from the two Ambassadors, Vice Chairman - Hoang Gia Long affirmed that Ha Giang province is always ready to welcome investors and businesses from Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to implement projects within the province. Vice Chairman - Hoang Gia Long expressed the hope that the two Ambassadors personally will pay attention to and further promote the cooperative relationship with Ha Giang province. He suggested that the embassies serve as a bridge to promote and introduce the potential, advantages, people, and culture of Ha Giang province to the citizens, localities, and businesses of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. This will enhance mutual understanding, foster people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, and provide a foundation for promoting collaboration in economic, commercial, tourism, and investment sectors.

On the same morning, the delegation visited and presented gifts at the Phien Sui school in Giap Trung commune, Bac Me district, for the students. During this visit, the Embassy provided support by donating 02 Smart Samsung 4K 65-inch TVs and 01 HP Pavillion Laptop to the Phien Sui school.

Information on the Support from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ha Giang Province

Year 2018:

In 2018, Ha Giang Province organized a conference titled "Ha Giang Presentation" to Foreign Partners. After participating in the event and receiving the province's invitation, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Vietnam pledged sponsorship for a school construction project in Ha Giang. The project, with a total investment of 634 million VND, was implemented in Giap Trung commune, Bac Me district. After a successful four-month implementation, in October 2018, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam visited the province, worked on-site, and inaugurated the completed project. The project has proven effective, contributing to enhancing the learning conditions for students in the disadvantaged areas of Bac Me district.

Year 2022:

In 2022, Ambassador Mr. Shovgi Mehdizada conducted a visit to Phieng Sui school in Giap Trung commune, Bac Me district, to understand the practical needs of the students. Subsequently, the school administration proposed further assistance from the Embassy, including the installation of TVs in classrooms (03 pieces), provision of laptops (05 pieces), and improvements to the playground, walls, fences, and school gate, along with an outdoor playset for students. The support was provided during their visit in May 2023.
